Anyway, it’s been a while since we’ve put together a “Direwolf” and man does this one have some teeth!
So right off the bat, this one is a short scale, at 24” and cut by Scott at Sand Hill, and with that I wanted to keep this one simple and to the point! A little Wolfgang with some tele tossed in. Ash Body, Vintage White nitro wuth light to medium aging… the checking on this one turned out great, but white checking to show up in these photos isn’t easy… anyway the neck is incredibly comfy w/ natural finish for the aging on back.
All aged nickel hardware, traditional tele wiring and a set of Rio Grandes “Half Breed”. These pickups have some bite to them, with a modified Tall Boy Neck w/o the cover with a higher output bridge pickup, these will get you into just about any type of music you want to play. Kick on your favorite drive pedal and these will get nice and rabid for ya! Rio Grande winds some great pickups, i especially dig their Dirty Harry P90 Tele set, so check them out!
