If you’ve been following Big River for while, you know how much I love blending different styles and pickups together. Well this my friends is my “White Whale”… introducing the Big River “Judas”! It doesn’t matter if you are a Gibson or Fender Fanboy. With the “Judas” I promise you won’t feel like you are stabbing your team in the back! 
Builds like these take a team of people to bring it into reality! Scott at Sand Hlil is the messiah of 3D rendering, while Rob @geminipickups is someone who will baptize you into tones that you never thought you needed! So the Heritage Cherry Nitro finish is so bad ass, pairing it with a bound Wenge neck with block inlays seemed necessary…Then the tuning stability is on point with a Wilkinson 6pt trem w/ a big block. 
The real trick with this one was finding a unique single coil type of set. Vintage style alnico 5’s single coils are great, but not for a beast like this. So it was a no brainer to immediately hit up Rob @geminipickups, who is a master at marrying different styles for his pick ups. Rob took one look at the idea and didn’t hesitate…. “Super Ferrite’s, my Ultra Ceramic I can do in a single coil size!” And Boom! 
This set is Rob’s version of the mythical Peavey T-60’s, the almost Humbucker, not quite P90 set that graced the controversial Peavey guitar of the same name. Bright and articulate as well as being beefy and warm, these pickups are so badass! Then paired with a 6way Freeway Switch & you got the only you will ever need! Then aged nickel hardware made this guitar an almost perfect build!
